SEED PAPER

SPRING 2024

To celebrate The Birth of Spring, I poured myself into this seed paper, picking neighborhood flowers, shredding, blending, and pressing each sheet by hand. For as long as I can remember, my father has always had a vegetable garden. At a very young age, I was exposed to cycles of the seasons through planting and harvesting. Just four years ago, I discovered my own green thumb by planting sunflowers and, more recently, zinnias. Over 5 months, it’s incredibly rewarding to watch a seedling emerge into a towering 10’ sunflower. Joyful and cheery. Smiles guaranteed. At the end of its life, the flower head starts to shoe gaze as it dances in the wind. At that point, you can chop the head off and roast the seeds for eating. Quite literally, you are witnessing the cycle of life, from seed to flower and back to seed.

Embedded with love, I am offering this seed paper for sale in a limited batch of 100 sheets for $5 each. I encourage you to write your intentions and wishes on this paper (with a pencil) and plant it in your yard (or a pot), tend and nurture these seeds, and watch your wishes grow.
